Nonlocal signatures of hybridization between quantum dot and Andreev bound states

چکیده

We investigate local and nonlocal signatures of hybridization between a quantum dot state an extended Andreev bound (ABS) in gate-defined InAs nanowire with multiple side probes. When one the probes was hybridized ABS nanowire, characteristic spectroscopic pattern observed both locally, i.e., probe dot, nonlocally, tunnel conductance remote probe. Nonlocal reveal nature ABS.

Transport through Andreev bound states in a graphene quantum dot

When a low-energy electron is incident on an interface between a metal and superconductor, it causes the injection of a Cooper pair into the superconductor and the generation of a hole that reflects back into the metal—a process known as Andreev reflection. In confined geometries, this process can give rise to discrete Andreev bound states (ABS), which can enable transport of supercurrents thro...

Andreev bound states and π-junction transition in a superconductor / quantum-dot / superconductor system

We study Andreev bound states and π-junction transition in a superconductor / quantum-dot / superconductor (S-QD-S) system by Green function method. We derive an equation to describe the Andreev bound states in S-QD-S system, and provide a unified understanding of the π-junction transition caused by three different mechanisms: (1) Zeeman splitting. For QD with two spin levels E↑ and E↓, we find...

Transport measurement of Andreev bound states in a Kondo-correlated quantum dot.

We report nonequilibrium transport measurements of gate-tunable Andreev bound states in a carbon nanotube quantum dot coupled to two superconducting leads. In particular, we observe clear features of two types of Kondo ridges, which can be understood in terms of the interplay between the Kondo effect and superconductivity. In the first type (type I), the coupling is strong and the Kondo effect ...

Nonlocal conductance via overlapping Andreev bound states in ferromagnet-superconductor heterostructures

In a setup where two ferromagnetic electrodes are attached to a superconductor, Andreev bound states are induced at both ferromagnet/superconductor FM/SC interfaces. We study how these states propagate through the SC and interact with each other. As a result of this interaction, the energetic positions of the Andreev states are not anymore determined solely by the magnetic properties of a singl...

Andreev Bound States in Ferromagnet - Superconductor Nanostructures ⋆

We discuss the properties of a ferromagnet superconductor heterostructure on the basis of a Hubbard model featuring exchange splitting in the ferromagnet and electron electron attraction in the superconductor. We have solved the spin polarized Hartree Fock Gorkov equations together with the Maxwell’s equation (Ampere’s law) fully self-consistently. We have found that a Proximity Effect Fulde Fe...
